Secondary School (College)
At college, teachers will work with you to extend your thinking and challenge you to think and create and analyse!
There are a series of qualifications that you need to achieve - this is called N.C.E.A.
It is important that you choose the right subjects and study hard so that you have lots of options open to you when you leave school.
You need to ask for help, this can be from teachers, other school staff and our Family So'otaga staff can help you too!
Tertiary (University / Polytech / Trades)
There are lots of different options for University and Polytech when you leave college.
It is important to set your sights high and get lots of advice about what options are available to you.
If you want lots of options and choices when you are 17 / 18 or older you need to try your very best at college.
If you want to get a trade qualification (become a builder / electrician etc) then you can do an apprenticeship with a company directly or complete a pre-apprenticeship qualification via a polytech.
There are lots of people that want to help you make the right decision - you can ask universities and polytech directly as well as other organisations like The Learning Shop.
